TRIBES: GERGIEV TEACHES CONDUCTING
CONDUCTORS & STUDENT
MANAGEMENT STYLE: This best exemplifies our management style. All our Strategic Team members have a small orchestra and they act as the conductor. Each team is then part of the GRAND ORCHESTRA. The C.E.O. knows the music. Each musician is an expert in their own right, but the Conductor blends the collective effort into a powerful sound. This is what we do. Our Senior Team members must study this page and learn to be a conductor. They must not be overbearing. They must keep in mind that a good teacher is a good student and he/she must switch seamlessly between being a good teacher and a good student.
It is important to understand this concept. To be a good conductor you need horizontal knowledge. You need to understand all the instruments and how their sounds compliment each other. Above all you need to understand the musicians as each of them is a complex and independent system. So you have to know how to pull the best out of each. You must understand the dynamic of the group as each individual is different and has an impact on the group dynamic. Each musician must have deep vertical knowledge of their instrument.
The musicians must understand that the conductor does not need to have the same deep vertical knowledge that they do in their individual instruments.
Synergy is the creation of a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. The term synergy comes from Greek the word συνεργία synergia from synergos, συνεργός, meaning "working together".
syn like in symphony = with, together + ergos in Latin 'therefore' in Greek, working
